Guided fly fishing in the Savinjska region is one of our most popular services and offers visitors the opportunity to discover the beauties of the Savinja, Dreta and the peaceful Gaj Pond together with experienced fishermen, enjoy the tranquility of nature and learn something new.

At the Mozirje Fishing Family, we manage an extensive, extremely diverse fishing area. Our water covers the entire course of the Dreta River from its source to its confluence with the Savinja and part of the Savinja River from the Kolenčev Dam to Letuš.

Our districts are alpine in nature, clean, lively and full of hidden corners where many interesting species of fish reside. It is precisely because of this wonderful, diverse nature that guided fly fishing in the Savinjska region is recognized by many fishermen as one of the most beautiful experiences in Slovenia.

Our waters are inhabited by salmonid species (brown trout, grayling, rainbow trout and pike) and cyprinids (chub, barbel, bream, etc.), which provides the possibility of various fishing techniques depending on the choice of the district. The fly fishing season lasts from March 1 to November 31, and the pike season from November 1 to February 15. For those who want to fish all year round, there is Ribnik Gaj, where fishing for carp and predators is allowed even outside the main season.

Our guided fly fishing (Savinjska) is suitable for both beginners and experienced fishermen. We start with the selection of the district, where the guide presents the currents, possible tackles and suitable baits. The guide has excellent knowledge of the terrain, fish movements, water levels, can advise you and answer all your questions. In addition to fishing techniques, we also focus on proper fish handling, fishing ethics and understanding natural conditions.

At the Mozirje Fishing Family, we also provide various fishing education courses. We help fishermen improve their casting techniques, understand the rules, choose equipment, and prepare for the sport fisherman exam, which is an important step in their fishing career for many. The programs are tailored to children, youth, and adults - anyone who wants to take their fishing knowledge to the next level.

In addition to offering organized guided fly fishing in the Savinjska region, we also offer tourist fishing permits that allow visitors to fish for one or more days. They are available for the following districts:
