Wine tastings Goriška Brda

If you are searching for a memorable and authentic wine experience in one of Europe’s most enchanting wine regions, Ščurek Wines invites you to join us for unforgettable wine tastings in Goriška Brda. Our family-run winery has deep roots in this landscape of rolling hills, terraced vineyards and quiet villages. We have been cultivating vines in Brda for generations, continuing a tradition established by our father Stojan and our nono Ivan, whose passion laid the foundation for everything we do today.

Our story dates back to the 19th century, and over time the family has lovingly expanded and refined its winemaking philosophy. Today, we tend approximately 22 hectares of vineyards planted with local and indigenous varieties such as rebula, jakot (ex tokaj, now also known as sauvignon vert), malvasia and pikolit, as well as international varieties including merlot, cabernet franc, chardonnay and pinot grigio. This wide selection reflects both the diversity of our land and the respect we hold for the heritage of the region.

During our wine tastings in Goriška Brda, guests can explore this diversity through carefully selected flights of white, red and sparkling wines. We are particularly proud of our white wines — especially rebula, the signature variety of Brda. It is a wine that truly embodies our unique terroir, where Mediterranean and Alpine climates intertwine to create ideal conditions for grapes of outstanding character. Our cuvées, produced with care and intuition, frequently receive excellent scores and awards at national and international wine competitions, further confirming the dedication we put into every bottle.

At Ščurek, our winemaking philosophy is built on respect: respect for tradition, respect for nature and respect for the land that sustains us. We cultivate our vineyards with great attention and minimal intervention, allowing the grapes to express themselves as naturally as possible. This approach ensures that the wines you taste at our estate clearly reflect the essence of Brda — its soils, its slopes, its climate and its spirit.
